DOM'S BIO

Since 2010, Dom has been in the fitness industry in various roles, including personal trainer, group fitness coach, and facility manager. In January 2025, she became one of the owners of North Star Fitness, where she oversees the day-to-day operations of the business while continuing to coach clients. With a Fitness and Health diploma and a degree in Recreation Management, she brings a strong foundation of knowledge to her work.

As a stepmom to 3 children, she understands the challenges of balancing busy lifestyles and schedules to prioritize herself and her goals. With a positive, energetic, and compassionate approach, she designs programs that are simple, sustainable, and effective. She is committed to teaching clients the “why” and “how” of fitness so they can apply it to their daily lives.

Bilingual in English and French, Dom is passionate about making fitness accessible to more people in the community. Whichever stage someone may be in their journey: just starting out, working toward a milestone, or seeking renewed motivation, she provides the guidance and accountability needed to achieve lasting results.

I have known Dom for over 12 years and have worked with her both in person and online at different times. She was the first trainer I worked with when I knew nothing about working out. She helped me learn proper form and build a foundation that helped me through years when I was working out on my own. More recently Dom has setup programs for me online. She is available by text to help and to cheer me on. I had an injury and she tailored my workouts accordingly and encouraged me to rest but also continue doing what I could to not stall progress. She often leaves notes in the TruCoach app encouraging me to increase weights or reps. When I truly dislike an exercise she will remove it from the program but does encourage me to try new things. She sets up flexible workouts that fit into my busy life and is always understanding when I have to cut a workout short or move it around. She is energetic and enthusiastic and has always made me want to do better and try harder. Dom is a fantastic coach and a great person!

Step 1

When you arrive at North Star Fitness, I will give you a tour of our private facility. We will sit down and go over your current lifestyle habits, including nutrition, sleep, stress and exercise history. We will then discuss and explore your overall wellness goals and address possible barriers that are currently preventing you for achieving your goals.

I will conduct a movement assessment to better understand what challenges you may be facing and why.
