Stronger and moving better
I never thought I’d utilize a personal trainer. My daughter started seeing Jordyne and really enjoys her. We saw and continue to see the big improvement Jordyne made on her and it inspired me to see her as well. Jordyne has changed the quality of my life. You know when someone believes in you more than you believe in yourself? If you're looking for that someone, find Sheldon.
I walked in weak, physically limited, and sweating through a stretch. Long-term goals felt laughably out of reach. I wanted to quit every day. But Sheldon kept pushing. "One day at a time," he'd say, redirecting my focus to gains I couldn't see.
He noticed wins I didn’t—an extra five seconds on a plank, sneaking in reps after my cheats. He made little victories feel big. “You’ll feel better after a workout” became a running joke—annoyingly, he was always right.
He never just tells me what to do; he explains why. Understanding the “why” changed everything. Excuses? Not with Sheldon. I had to work hard just to convince him I wasn’t “gym material” to skip a session. He taught me that showing up imperfectly still counts—consistency matters more than perfection. His firm refusal to allow me coast—paired with a safe, judgment-free space—gave me my health back.
And about his math— “Only a couple reps to go,” he’d say cheerfully. His “couple” is always generous, but somehow, I always finished them and felt stronger for it. Some days I’d walk in running on empty—he always knew when to push and pull back. Through my endless chatter and riveting tangents, Sheldon just listens, counts reps, corrects my form, and still delivers a killer workout. Every. Single. Time. He's probably dying to show me what I'd accomplish if I stopped talking (one of these days).
These days, my challenges are predictable—but so is his ability to turn the impossible doable by tweaking a move or shifting an angle. Thanks to Sheldon, I don’t just finish my workouts—I leave feeling stronger, happier, and genuinely proud of myself every single time.
Working with you, Sheldon, is truly one of the best things that’s happened to me. You make me genuinely look forward to discovering what I’m capable of achieving next.

An incredible journey
I’ve been working with my wonderful trainer Kailey for a few months now and it has been an incredible journey. She has helped me so much with my form, my confidence with lifting and my overall life. She is so supportive and gives me such good tips and advice on everything. I noticed my strength improving as well as my technique lifting. I look forward to every single one of my sessions with her and her positive attitude and energy. She motivates me and her pushes me to do the best that I can even on the days when it’s difficult. "If I could use only one word to describe what my personal training experience at North Star Fitness has given me, I would choose the word “confidence”. I have been training 2 times a week for just over a year. Seeing results
The biggest benefit for me with my online training is how customized it is. By connecting with my coach every single day through personal messages and videos, we work together to make sure I’m keeping up with my fitness plan. I can also share feedback explaining which exercises I find challenging or not hard enough (rare), so we can modify to make sure I’m always moving toward the goals I laid out. This is the most successful I have ever been with sticking to a workout plan and it is 100 per cent because of the customization and communication from my coach.
Having custom home workouts designed specifically for the equipment I own and fitness goals I have has made all the difference in my workouts. I actually workout regularly now. I workout everything over the course of the week. And I’m seeing the results.
